Houston, Texas
As the fourth community satellite facility for the St. Luke’s Hospital System, this new four-story hospital provides the northwest Houston community with a family friendly, hotel-like facility close to home. The Vintage Hospital includes a full range of services including a 21-bed Emergency Department, Imaging, Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics, Endoscopy, Cath Labs, Surgery, LDRP’s, 12 critical care beds and 64 Med/Surg and observation beds.
A physician steering group and a nurse administrator from the main hospital provided input to the clinical equipment decisions and validated operational assumptions for this startup facility. The A/E team and consultants were chosen to bring best practices in healthcare design to the project. They provided recommendations throughout the project for the surrogate users and steering committee prior to the actual staff being hired closer to opening in 2010.
