Surgeons in this community hospital gained new opportunity for growth with a 39,000 sf expansion. The project includes 14 new state-of-the-art operating suites that provide general surgical, trauma, cardiovascular, neurological, orthopedic, cystoscopy and vascular interventional care.

The Equipment Collaborative team facilitated site visits introducing the surgical staff to new technologies including booms and integration systems. Thereafter the perioperative surgical suite was transformed with a new sterile core concept and surgical suites designed to promote a wide range of case assignments.  Surgical practices and infection control were improved through the use of a sterile core and connection to a full CS department. 

The old surgical suites were renovated to accommodate new prep and recovery suites and other surgical support space. Our team maximized the reuse of valuable equipment including surgical lights, sterilizers, blanket warmers, and other equipment.
