Dallas, Texas
As one of the nation’s leading providers of specialized pediatric care, Children’s Medical Center has experienced tremendous growth in their ambulatory services. The hospital embarked on a major renovation of a formal retail center to create 130,000 sf of shared clinic modules to replace most of the subspecialty clinics and ancillary outpatient departments. Standardized clinic exam modules and support spaces were reviewed with each of the surgical and medical clinics. Ancillary spaces were planned for audiology, pulmonary, PT/OT, dental and orthodontia. Equipment Collaborative provided full equipment planning, procurement, installation management, assembly and relocation services for this facility that opened in January 2007.
EC and HKS also worked with CMC on the completion of a new Ambulatory Care Center in Plano, Texas that opened in 2008. Other work with CMC includes the backfill of clinics at the main campus and the addition of another floor of clinics to the main campus pavilion.
