The development of the MARC as a “world-class” facility was built on a 14-acre tract in the South Texas Medical Center adjacent to other UTHSC SA facilities.  The MARC project involved 250,000 sf of new construction, encompassing a range of outpatient, diagnostic and treatment services.

The initial phase of the MARC includes a clinical and ambulatory care building housing ambulatory surgery, endoscopy, diagnostic imaging, wellness/rehabilitation, a women’s center, specialty clinics and faculty offices — utilizing all new medical equipment. 

Equipment Collaborative completed CDs and assisted the owner with procurement and installation management phases for the Fall 2009 opening.  EC assisted the owner with budget strategies to allow this new facility to be equipped at a pace with projected growth.
