Nabisco Research Facility

Houston, Texas
This project, located in the Texas Medical Center, consisted of adaptive re-use of approximately 110,000 sf of an old cookie factory into new lab and support facilities.  Labs were developed for the departments of genetics and surgery, as well as generic labs for future research groups.

Support facilities include a freezer farm, offices and laboratory support rooms, conference rooms, loading dock and storage area.  The facility required new infrastructure for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, communications and data facilities, and emergency power.

Equipment Collaborative provided estimates, room-by-room listings, specifications for Contractor Furnished and Installed equipment, and assistance with CA related submittals and questions.  Furniture services included revisions and adaptations to existing standards program, product and selection specifications.
