This new 12-story hospital will provide replacement beds for up to a total of 366 beds including acute care, bone marrow transplant, heart center and intensive care. Dialysis and infusion areas are also planned in the building. Lower levels include the creation of a new 60-bed Emergency Center and expanded imaging diagnostic services for GI, Hematology/ Oncology, the Heart Center, Neurology and expanded support services for lab and pharmacy.
The inpatient units are being designed to support the hospital goals to promote patient safety and patient-centered care. Equipment Collaborative has assisted from early estimating and has prepared detailed room lists, equipment plans, 3D visualizations and development of construction documents. The EC team’s support will continue through procurement, installation and relocation when the hospital opens its doors in 2012.
